CAST STONE

Cast Stone Is a highly refined form of architectural precast concrete. Our precise color formulations and finishes produce cast stone to match the appearance of limestone, brownstone, architectural terra cotta, and historic cast stone. Its physical properties make it suitable for load bearing applications such as columns, balustrades, window and door surrounds, ashlar panels and quoins.

T·H·R produces a proprietary polymer-modified cast stone developed specifically for replication of architectural terra cotta. Its advantages include dramatic resistance to surface weathering by reducing water absorption to only 1-2% , as proven in laboratory tests.

GFRC

GFRC is a high quality, lightweight concrete material typically chosen for non-load-bearing architectural elements such a cornices, balconies, brackets, sculptural panels, and other ornamental features. It is an excellent substitute for terra cotta or limestone.

GFRC is made from fine sand, Portland cement, acrylic polymer, pigments and alkali-resistant glass fibers, all in compliance with specifications of the Precast Concrete Institute. Its weight ranges from 10-15 lbs. per square foot of surface area, depending on the fabrication method. Cast Stone and GFRC are frequently used in combination on a building as complementary materials that can be made with identical finishes.
